One of Södermalm's oldest restaurants
Since 1908, guests have gathered in the beautiful premises on Tjärhovsgatan to eat home-cooked food, drink beer and let the evening take its time. It is a place where locals, regulars and curious visitors meet side by side, just as it always has.
Over a hundred years of food memories have been gathered in the large hall. Hand-rolled meatballs, pickled herring, veal liver and cream sauce. Everything is cooked from scratch, just as it should be.

Kvarnen has been located on Tjärhovsgatan since 1908, one block from Medborgarplatsen, right in the heart of Södermalm. The venue has seen Stockholm grow and change, but the feeling remains the same.
